Return Policy & Process

What is your return policy?:

We want to make sure we're putting people in the best possible running gear for them! If your purchase doesn't perform as expected you may return it, in new sellable condition including all of the original packaging, within 14 days with receipt for a refund.

You may bring a purchase back, in NEW sellable condition including ALL of the original packaging (this includes shoe boxes), for exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase.

If a purchase is a special order from a vendor the order may only be exchanged or returned for store credit. However, if your special order is something that we do NOT carry in-store it is a final sale and is NOT eligible for return or exchange. 

Items with a Gift Receipt will receive a refund in the form of Store Credit (Our return policy doesn’t cover ordinary wear & tear or damage caused by improper use or accidents). 

A customer returning the same item multiple (2+) times or exchanging shoes from the same original purchase multiple (2+) times may incur a restocking fee of 15%. 


FOR ALL ONLINE PURCHASES:

We will send you a return shipping label for your return. We will deduct the cost of return shipping ($10-$14) from your return. For example: If you ordered a pair of shoes for $140 and return them, you will receive a refund of $126-$130 depending on the cost of return shipping. 

PLEASE NOTE: ALL marked down shoes purchased online are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. This is any item that is discounted by MORE THAN 20%. Items that have coupon codes or discounts of 20% or less ARE refundable. For example: If a shoe is originally $140 and it is marked down to $115. You use a coupon code or loyalty program reduce the cost to $100. The item is more than 20% off and is a final sale item.  

Lastly, all shipments from Commonwealth Running Company are insured. If a package doesn't reach you please contact us and we will have our shippers investigate. If a purchase is delivered to the address and then is missing Commonwealth Running Company does not take responsibility for the missing package. 

Commonwealth Running Company reserves the right to adjust the policy at any time. 

Order Cancellations: If you place an order and decide to cancel your order prior to shipment please note that a cancellation fee of $5 may apply. 

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange of an Online Purchase: 

First, please make sure you have all of the original packaging- this includes tags and boxes. All returning items MUST be in new and sellable condition or the refund may be rejected. If you have worn something outside or other than simply trying it on indoors please check with us first at help@commonwealthrunning.com before returning it to us.

If an item is shipped back to us and is not in new condition you will be charged a restocking fee of up to 50% depending on the condition of the item and whether we need to donate it. As long as a purchased item is shipped back to us in new condition with original packaging we will issue a full refund (minus return shipping if applicable). 

Please note, per our return policy, return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund amount. The return shipping charge is $10-14 depending on where the return is being shipped from. The return deduction amount will NOT exceed $14.

Pack your item into the mailing package that we sent or another secure box or mailing bag. Shoe boxes CANNOT be shipped without being inside some sort of bag or box. Commonwealth Running Company reserves the right to deny refunds of items that do not adhere to our return policy. Please understand that we cannot sell an item as "new" if the shoe box has been damaged in shipping. If you ship the item back in the shoe box alone you will incur a restocking fee of 15-50% depending on the damage to the item and the packaging. DO NOT ship shoes back in the shoe box without some type of packaging.

Exchange Policy:

If an item is in new condition and you would like to exchange for a different item, size or color just email us at info@commonwealthrunning.com. We will send you two emails. The first is a return shipping label for your initial item. The second is a payment link for $14 for the roundtrip shipping of $14. Since most of our orders (anything over $30) are free shipping, we do ask that our customers pay some of the shipping costs of an exchange. We will send a payment link for $14 for the roundtrip shipping of sending your current item back and sending you a new item in exchange. 

Return Processing: 

We process returns within 1-3 days of their arrival back at the shop. Please allow us 1-3 business days to receive and inspect the item and then allow your bank 1-3 business days to release the funds. Please note that we release the funds immediately upon refund or cancellation. Banks and credit card companies may take longer to release the funds back to your account.
